Had the car up in the mountains yesterday, great sunny weather for skiing, but all roads were clear of snow.
still came back home looking rather dirty, thank goodness for jet washers...

you need some rally armors.

Do you know, does anyone make that under-spoiler in CF? That paired with my blacktop aero rear diffuser would look nuts!!!

WRB FTW!

I'm not partial to the look of RA's, and anyway my paint is pretty messed up already. Wish i'd clearbra'd when new

I think AVO JDM were doing a replica underspoiler, with a CF option. Not 100% sure though...

Default Re: S'poreSTI Redux - 08 WRB/Gold. ClusterMaker gaugepod in

Arrived back to find ClusterMakers package waiting for me, been waiting for this forever so got right to work. The JDM Subaru gauges have a nice 'hood' that i wanted to keep, and it made the gauge fit perfectly in the holder. however as Pic1 below indicates, the 'hood' contacted the indicator stalk, so needed to be moved in ~8mm to clear. Pic 2&3 show the way i marked up the area to remove, & used a cutting wheel to slice off a bit of plastic. Pic4 shows the end result, a successful fit that allows full range of the stalk movement, including full beam on

Love the way this looks, some views from my head position in the car

And from an angle

How did you get the gauges to stick? I've got a set of maddad's waiting to go in but the pods are 2mm wider for venting and I don't see how double sided tape and/or a rubber band would hold gauges in.

I think i was lucky with the JDM gauges, the actual gauge is a metal frame piece, that press-fits into the little plastic 'hoods' that you see in the pictures above. Now, those plastic hoods happen to be a perfect press-fit onto clustermakers gauge pod holes. In other words, the size of his design is exactly the same size as the original 'pod' holders i used to run that were part of the original gauge kit.
like i said, lucky

Damn. Lucky. I'll have to see if my maddad's will be able to pull off the same trick. *crosses fingers*

I don't think I saw in the thread but what's the switch you have above the head light leveler do?

Its the manual spray switch for my IC Water Spray kit, i setup the kit to be boost triggered & added in that extra toggle switch to allow spray at any time, and for as long as required. I think the details are covered in another thread, kind of a how-to i wrote. Search for Spec-C IC spray in the GR forum & you should find it.

After a couple of months i finally found time to get to Capitol Subaru & get the latest parts installed.
Finally the question is answered of just where & how that STI brace kit fits...

The 2 struts are easy to see, but the middle piece is tucked away behind the frame, the fact i painted the parts helps them to show up. looking from the back, or along the FSB you can see it better...

In addition to that i also had the GrpN engine mounts, pitch-stop & transmission mounts installed. Its crazy just how soft the stock parts are, really 'rubbery', you really have to take them out & compare to the GrpN to feel just how soft stock bushing/mounts are. in the 2nd pic you can see 3 of the new bushings, due to the pink line painted on them

Car feels great, front is def firmed up, subtle but its there. Thanks to my SPT catback i didnt detect any additional NVH due to the GrpN parts
Have the 22mm FSB set on #1 (125% of stock) and rear 19mm set on #2 (125% of stock), the car felt really nicely balanced on a quick blast thru some mountain twisties
