There have been a few people who havent had much luck installing taillight overlays on their cars. We decided to make an instructional video to help show the proper way to install these parts on their car.

Before we get to the video, here is a short list of recommended items you should have before getting started.

-Overlay kit, we hear the Harman Motive Time Attack Proven ones are pretty damn nice :)

-08 STi or WRX Hatch

-50/50 mix of water and rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle

-Sharp knife, Xacto, utilty knife, etc

-Credit card or Vinyl Applicator to remove air bubbles

-Patience

Optional:

-70s pornstar moustache of justice

-Women running around in their underwear

Video is here:

As always , feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

I would say after because if the film stretches and sticks more one way or the other your cutout might be off. Put it on whole, perform the cut out gently so you don't scratch the lens, and pull the piece out.

At least this would be my thinking on the matter. :)

What do you do about small bubbles after? Do some of them go away on their own? Does the bubble fairy come and smooth them out?

If the bubbles are fairly small, they will tend to go away with time as the film goes through various heat cycles and settles and as the water/alcohol mix evaporates. Larger bubbles should be elminated as soon as possible by either working the bubble to the edge or by peircing it with a very fine needle although the former is a much preferred method than the latter.
