-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have posted lots of pics as I go along but I have never officially created a journal, so here goes. I got the car in August of '04, CGM w/ Silver Wheels. Here she is in stock form:

you can see in this pic that the temp tags are still on...she was just a virgin.

My first mod was a Passport 8500 X50. I hardwired it...

...and soon made a custom mute button integrated into the stock switch blank.

My next mod was a set of Defi gauges (Boost, EGT, Oil Press.) in a Defi pod. I wanted to make sure I had a means of monitoring my engine before modifying it.

I was also very underwhelmed by the factory stereo, so I decided to do some upgrades. I began with a Kenwood DDX7015...

...and a set of MB Quart PCE-216s powered by a Phoenix Gold amp.

I also put Dynamat in all 4 doors. The difference was amazing, now it sounds great!

OK, the wheels arrived today! It will be a few days before I can mount them because I'm still waiting on the hubcentric rings but I test fit them and took some pics. I'll post them tomorrow as soon as I get a chance to upload them. I will say now though, they look incredible! I also installed tons of parts over the weekend, I'll have a big update tomorrow.

Well, I had quite the busy weekend. I installed the following parts:

RCE Camber Plates

Whiteline Rear Sway

Kartboy Endlinks

Braille Battery

I also installed the Happi fender braces, Group-N rear strut tops, and Kartboy exhaust hangers. My initial impression of all the new suspension mods was utter amazement. The ride is so much smoother and less bouncy, and turn-in is razor sharp. The back of the car definitely wants to come around more quickly (sway is on the middle setting). Overall I'm extremely pleased. My car is at Andrewtech getting and alignment and tranny/diff flush right now so it should be even better when I get it back.

But the real excitement was yesterday :D The doorbell rang at 9AM and I jumped out of bed immediately because I knew it was the FedEx guy. After almost 4 months, my wheels had arrived! They look so incredible, I can't wait to mount them up. I'm just waiting on the hubcentric rings and I'll be good to go. Here are some pics:

More pics to come in the next few days ;)

Yep, you guessed it ;) And yes, I love my jack!

The wheels look great! Nice install weekend.

Sorry I couldn't come out and help, it was a crazy weekend.
No problem, I completely understand. I'll let you know next time, I might host an install day sometime soon.

Awesome! I would totally be down for that. I have a ton of stuff that's been waiting to be installed and a ton of tools that are begging to be used. ;)

BTW, those camber plates are teh sex, I really want a set now!

SWEET!! big pimping. british black or gold would of made a mess in my pants , but those still are making me drool!
Actually they are british black, the lighting is just weird in my garage ;) They look darker in person.

They really are well made, they look even nicer in person. I'm definitely glad I decided to go with them instead of PDE, especially since they STILL haven't returned my emails.

For real, Myles and everyone else at GTWorx/RCE are great, best customer service I've ever had (next to Jonathan at W1 of course ;))
