Well, I finally got the time to write a journal. So where shall I begin......It all started when I went to the NYC Auto Show and saw the WRX back in the days. I loved the looks, the hood scoop, and the turbo'ed power boxer engine. That was my goal for me to get that car when I graduate college. Well, my friends sure heard enough "WRX this and Subaru that" that they could tell you every feature of the car till their face turned blue! My first car was a 1986 Camaro with a carb *No fuel injection->whats that lol?!?!*, t-tops that leaked, and no A/C!! So everyone who posts about driving in the snow with the stock tires on the STi, I know what your talking about, try it with an old Camaro!! So as you can see I couldn't wait to get my hands on a NEW car. Well, then came the big one.....the STi right there, unveiled at the NYC Auto Show! I drooled at the car as it spun around and around! I was set on getting that car no matter what! So then came the hurdles of saving, fixing the Camaro, and obviously living the college life. Well, Junior year came around and I was all happy, thinking it was time for me to get the STi, I thought I had enough money, and then it smack me upside the head when I saw with the money I had to put down, how much the monthly payments would be! I was so upset that I didn't get the STi, that I had to have something with AWD! So I bought a R/C Nitro Powered Subaru WRC car, and got a STi body, and painted the color I wanted: Black! Well, I saved and then finally on May 2005, I graduated college, and I had the money I needed to get the STi, and in the end of May 2005 (05/23/2005) I was the proud new owner of a 2005 Subaru OBP STi!!! It was great, a car with A/C, AWD, and enough balls to the wall power that I dreamed about. I named her Black Betty from the song by Ram Jam. Then came this little bug that bite me *mod bug* and I was hooked on buying a new part for the car every month! So without further jibber jabber, here are the pics!!

Yah def go that route....its better, and it "steam" cleans the engine out. 50/50 is the way to go. Man you should of jumped on that SMC kit that was on sale here before with the Spec C intercooler tank already hooked up with the pump and lines. That was a freaking deal! I def would of gotten that if I didn't get my kit. Oh, I need to snap some pics of this thing, ahha be back in a bit!

I already have the kit installed i am just on denatured alky right now and was thinking of switching to meth. I will think about it, and MAN do i want a spec C tank very badly.

i need $$$$$$$$$$$$$...but this new engine etc is costing enough im not going for anything extra.

Ok, here are pics of the SMC Meth kit that I got last week. The kit looks top notch. Can't wait for this thing to get put in!!

Al, looks like you were right, there is a lil switch on the side of the controller, that is prob for the 10 size nozzle, rather than the 7 size. Interesting!

Berto! Yah the DP came that way, wrapped and sprayed. You can easily spray it and wrap it yourself...not that hard, just need hose clamps and your good to go!

#361 ·
yeah man if you want to take a drive on down possibly next weekend if all goes right I could use a hand for sure.

520: that little reservoir is for the windshield washer fluid....the big tank replaces the stock windshield washer fluid tank, and the little one mounts in front of the battery so you can still wash your windshield.

#363 ·
Yah Don, if you need help, let me know....all you would need is the wrap, spray, and the hose clamps...the clamps are the key for making that crap stay on! Let me know, I can come and help yah out.

Berto/Don, you guys can have a ride in the car, no problem!

520HP, try their site, maybe you can order that small tank for the windshield washer fluid.

These clips are of my Invidia TBE System, with the Cobb STG2. The DP is an Invidia V2 Catless DP, wrapped, sprayed, with the wideband bung welded on and plugged for now. Also, the Catback system is the Invidia G200. The whole system is catless...loving it everyday! Thanks again to Sebastian and Rob for helping install the DP along with the other goodies last Saturday. Oh and thanks to MacSTi for being the camera guy! Enjoy!@!

MacSTi came for the very first time, and he ran as well. My runs were good, the last one, well, I miss shifted, radar detector flew off the window and hit me.....yah, def have to remember to take that sucker off!! BTW, weighed the car at the track, it had a half tank of gas, weighing in at: 3456 lbs. Here are my times:

1st Run:
60': 1.870
1/8: 8.936
MPH: 76.66
1000: 11.647
1/4: 13.951
MPH: 98.61
This run was up againts a 1998'ish Yellow Mustang Cobra...I beat him too, so I was really happy with that! Could of ran better

2nd Run:
60': 1.758
1/8: 8.590
MPH: 79.61
1000: 11.241
1/4: 13.490
MPH: 100.75
I was up against a modded WRX, really nice wheels on it. Won this one as well, I think this was my best run. Should of def got a better time this run, but some Honda blew up his duct tapped oil pan, and I guess the track cooled down or whatever.

3rd Run (stupid radar detector):
60': 1.941
1/8: 6.441
MPH: 72.58
1000: 12.689
1/4: 15.093
MPH: 94.45
Was up against a Dodge Charger Hemi, the new ones. Would of Killed HIM, but the radar detector flew off the window from the launch, and threw me off, so yah, I gotta remember to take that crap off the window. Well, atleast my launches are way better than the first time I went. This day was my second time at E-town, not that bad huh?!

Lol, yah STG2 ran good, it was me that was the big error! AHHAHA, but its the second time going out there, so atleast my launches are way better now, I think I got that down, just need some help in fast shifting. Hmm Ben, wanna make an exclusive HSPN video on how to launch and fast shift in the STi.....PLEASE!:D :busted:

Actually, yah. After the first two hard launches, the radar detector flew off. The suction cups on it suck already....but trust me, I won't be having that on the window any other times that I got to E-town.
