Went to my parents place for a little party yesterday. Buddy showed up in his MY05 WRX STI with his new RPF1s mounted. Quick Pic:

What? They sell AD08s in Europe? Where?

Where are you in Europe?
Here in Germany I find them almost everywhere...ebay, tire dealers...
I found mine through idealo.de (Price comparison site) for 150 per Tire at some tire dealer.

Brother got the right thread cutters for the Shifter Extension (M12x1.25).
So that thing is in & to my surprise the shifts are so much better now. I expected it to be more indirect/unprecise but it feels way more natural now. I also feel like misshifting is almost impossible now.
We'll try to mod the short shifter to shorten the throws a tad to compensate for the higher sitting knob.
It feels really well. Sorry for the crappy pic.

Also it was my birthday back at the 17th and my parents got me a proper car jack

I'll bring the car to my buddy the next week so we can swap out the steering rack, put in an oil baffle, add more brake cooling, connect the oil cooler and fix the shifter wobble. FINALLY

Later today I'm gonna pick up some hood dampers someone from the Club made. Been waiting for those in a long time.

With the header, steady progress is made. Buddy is working on the 4-1 collector in his free time. He'll have a 5 week holiday coming up and he'll get the car for one week to build the lightweigt crash beams, rear triangle brace & mount the header

And I signed up for a basic drift training at the end of August.
Story behind that is: My dad got a gift card for his birthday for a drift training at the Drift Schule. German company which offers trainings and drift days. As I know all of the 3 guys from the Drift Schule for some years now, it's finally time to attend a training.
So I'm happy to go there together with my dad, have some fun & learn something

That's it for now, over and out

Yeah 150 per corner in 225-40-18. So 600 in total.
Really like them. They are performing allright in the rain and are really sticky in the dry although they are sensitive to the tire pressure (which are most tires so that doesn't count).
For daily driving they are way better than the Federals RSRs IMHO.
For the money I wouldn't buy something else.

Good morning people,
first, have some Header Progress Pictures:

If you want to check out his Facebook: Gruppenzwang on Facebook

ETA ~last Week of August.
Won't connect the Oil Cooler until the Header is in as it wouldn't make much sense. The Drift Training I booked on the 23rd shouldn't be a problem without the Oil Cooler.
My Photography Buddy said he's going to make a new Promotion Video with me & the car in it.

Went to the Hockenheimring on Saturday to watch the "Public Race Days" which is a 1/4 mile Drag event held there for everyone to participate in.
The old muscle cars where the most exciting to watch, although not the fastest. I think the fastest one was a Golf MKIV with 7.80sec and 272km/h if I recall correctly.

Anyway, on the way home the front left inner mudguard (the plastic piece inside the wheel well) decided it was time to get loose. There was a construction zone on the Autobahn with 80km/h speed limit, after it, it was unlimited so I decided to go for a good pull as there was barely any traffic. At around 230km/h the front piece of the mudguard which is connected to the bumper with 1 or 2 clips decided to disconnect and scratched on the asphalt.
Stopped at the next rest area, pulled out my Gerber Multitool and cut the mudguard in half.
Faces of the family nearby where priceless as I threw the cutout plastic parts away
