So few weeks passed. And I hear more things.

Here is an article from speedhunter, featuring Elusive racing car.

It says that the car did not comply with rules, but did they eliminate the car right away? No they did not. They gave them a weight penalty of 10kg.

If this does not prove presence of politics and discrimination and brhind the scene negotiations, I do not know what does.

Linky:
Built To Win: The Elusive DC2 Integra - Speedhunters

Also note they changed the wording on few of the rules:

Modification of oem wiring allowed. Meaning it could be interpreted as a custom wiring system and pdm that the Elusive car had. Previously it was saying oem wiring has to remain.

They also, conveniently, allowed two element wings this year.

I am guessing here but rules we ere changed according to this car.

To make matter worse the egoistic moronic official was trying to tell me, this is about the little guys. And I was a privateer with only my partner and few travelling friends helping me out. While no less that 12 people were working in Elusive team. Plus a pro driver who changed his "pro" status one week before the race.

the worst part by far. They talk of the "little guys" while literally alienating you and catering to the pro teams

A change of tone after quite a bit of negativity.

Positives:

A local shop in Sydney, Ichiban imports worked on the car till early am mornings and spent the following day in search of a Toyota Hiace radiator to let me run. AND, he refused any kind of payment, saying: I wanted to see a Subaru win.

Major respect. There are still honourable and pure people in this world. I just wished I could get him his wish.

The car felt amazing. Wet practice day, tried as many laps as I could on 22 pounds. The car was a lot more responsive that I experience in Subinats. Handling was on point and the car felt really good. Brake pedal was a bit long as rotors and pads are on their last leg but still acceptable bite.

Following day it rained the whole morning on and off. And I decided not to go out at all, raising few eye brows.

In Pm, first and then second session were red flagged. One session to go. It still gives me goose bumps. Go for an out lap, corner before last, flicked a switch saying : BOOST

I was expecting 28 pounds but saw 30 pounds on the monitor. I was like, great!

Journey is continuing and there are changes happening as we speak. If I do WTAC again, it will be JUST to win and nothing less.
