Second question:

1- S202 second hand is 750$

2- New GDB Spec C rack 1200$ plus shipping and tax est. 1400$.

I am not sure if wear and tear is a major factor for steering racks but last thing you want is losing your steering on track.

racks usually don't go bad, and they can be rebuilt.

I can't find what I paid and just noticed that he only made a few so I don't know if he has any left to sell. sorry.

that is correct. what is the ratio on the spec c ans 202 racks? the new 2015 would fit your frame with no work at all. just need to sort out the tie rod ends (cut them shorter)

13:1

I a worried about this cutting business. I have to see if I can find someone I CAN trust with this.

Also the bushings don't fit as well?

the 15 rack is 13:1 and costs about the same as the used 202... the cutting is super simple.. 5 mins and 2 cuts that's. if you had the stock frame then that would be a lot of work.
