My first mod was a front lip. I bought a V limited style lip. The fitment was alright but it could have been better. They did include a lot of install hardware which that was nice.

I wanted to polish the headlights. I sanded them and sprayed some clear caot.

Next was to dress up the engine bay a bit. I decided to paint my BPV and battery tie down tequila sunrise!

I wanted a little more power so I purchased a new Cobb V3 accessport and ran stage 2 93. There were quite a few improvements from the v1 lego block to the V3. After that it was time to hit up a local shop to have the car put on the dyno to make a baseline for my mods. It made 276whp and 284wtq on a dynojet.

New mods-

Engine-
AEM meth kit
AEM wideband
AEM meth monitor/failsafe
AEM boost gauge
ATI center gauge pod (Great fitment)
Inivdia equal length headers
06 STi oil pan
Killer B oil pickup
Gutted perrin downpipe
Perrin 4 bar map sensor
Grimmspeed EBCS
255 fuel pump

Suspension-
Bc br coilovers with rear extenders

More pictures coming soon!

Thank you! Ill look into that. I think im going to try and take a break from modifying once I get my tune.

Here is an update on my car: The car is put back together. I just finished installing the 06+ oil pan, Killer B oil pickup, and Invidia ELH. The car sounds completely different. I was very skeptical about losing the subaru rumble but im happy with the new sound. My up pipe heat shield is loose so there is a rattle at 1800-3000 rpm. I will be removing the shield and heat wrapping the stock up pipe.

I will be doing a write up on the meth kit install shortly.

I think so. It wasn't the map labeled ACN. The shop I went to said I had bad gas and did 2 out of 4 pulls on the 91 map. Apparently the only difference between the 93 and 91 is three degrees less timing. I was spark knocking on 93 and after they switched to the 91 map it stopped spark knocking. I think the plugs were original so I replaced them with one step colder. I have since went back to the 93 map and have no spark knock issue.

I had to take some pictures of the stock exhaust manifold and the new Invidia equal length header.

Now time to install!

When I purchased these headers I was told it would fit the 2.5 oil pan. When I tried to install them the first time it was very close but the pan blocked it from entering the studs. After researching (should have done this more before buying) 04/05 have a older style oil pan, part number ending in 131 vs the new 06+ pan ending with 151. So than it was time to get another pan. There was another $100 down the drain to the stealership. Than I figured why not replace the oil pickup while im down there so I went ahead and purchased a killer B oil pickup.

BC BR coilovers!

My AEM meth kit-

This was one of those mods I didn't expect to do. I had a friend call one day asking if I was interested in a meth kit. He told me his boss wrecked his car before he got a chance to install it. The guy was desperately looking to sell it and would include 4 bottles of boost juice for $300!

After messing with placement and ideas for a couple weeks we came to a conclusion on were to place everything.

First the pump and tank placement-
Mostly everyone mounts the pump and tank in the trunk somewhere. After viewing other setups most mount it on the intercooler spray side behind the rear seat. At first this seemed like a good idea but than what about refilling the tank. You would have to break your back leaning in there every time to re fill the tank. We ended up deciding to mount it on the driver side behind or near the tailight. At first it was behind the tail light and than eventually in front of the jack cover.

Meth controller-
Meth controller was mounted under the hvac controls. I will post a picture soon.

Meth nozzle-
Mounted on the bottom side of my tmic. I will post a picture of this soon.

Overall install-
I think this is a great kit and I would recommend for anyone who wants to run meth injection. The overall install was easy. The wiring can become a pina but overall not bad.

Beginning the install,

The pump is mounted on a 2x4 that is screwed into the factory spare tire mount.

First spot to mount the meth tank (ended up changing)

AEM monitor/failsafe

AEM gauges mounted into the ATI pod

Final spot for the meth tank and pump. The meth tank is zip tied (2ft zip tie) to the jack support and is also supported by two rubber stubs. I also installed velcro behind the tank to help keep it attached to the jack cover.

All finished!

What do you think?
