I didn't remove the turbo and since I was doing mounts it was easier for me that way. After I posted I thought, or you could remove the turbo. Lol

That's because Darryl is lazy and takes the easy way out when shopping for new wheels! As far as the Q-rack goes, make sure you select the correct ratio for your tastes or needs, as my 12.5:1 wasn't as "fast" as I'd hoped it would be. Now, where's my quick column? ...cuz something in the area of 7-8:1 sounds so much better!

Oh, and BTW, nice '04! Those are the best for sure! The proof? Me and Darryl bought them brand new and we still have'em (although he molested his with them newer hubs... )

Good Luck with your project!

Alright! Thanks for the info! If I went with the Q rack it would be a lot later down the road. I am still waiting on the dealer to get me the correct axle boot. The one they gave me is a lot smaller than what I took off. Maybe the new axle in the later 04's have a smaller boot?

Update!

Axle boot is replaced finally! I got the up pipe out through the top without removing the turbo or jacking up the motor. Heat wrapped and re installed with a fresh gasket. Today I took my car in for state inspection and alignment. Installed the perrin map sensor and grimmspeed boost solenoid. After that the tuning started . More information soon!

So I chose to do E tuning. I don't know if that was a bad choice. The car runs good but on my accessport it picks up feedback knock. It only does it every once and awhile. Either cruising or in boost. It will hit -4.0, -2.0. It is concerning me. I tried to look it up to see how bad that is but did not find much. I also retarded the timing thru accessport by -2 degrees. It did not fix it. Also every time I log I cant catch the -4. As soon as I stop logging it HITS!

I got tuned by STi Mikey yesterday! The car drives a lot better and so far has been at 0.0 for feedback knock via accessport.

Very happy with the tune! It drives a lot smoother. It pulls much noticeable better. Dyno numbers coming of before and after!

Is it me, or does it look like it has '05 headlights?
