I'm alright. The slight pain in my left hand/forearm has worked its way up to my shoulder as the day has progressed, but it's still mild. Especially considering that I was in a car that was hit hard enough to spin around 180 degrees. I don't recall details; I assume that I had just that hand on the wheel and the other on the shifter, as I had just started out. The arm probably took a good tug from my body being thrust towards the passenger side. Either that or I bashed the door pretty hard as the car spun. Maybe both.

I went over the shop to clean out the car this morning and learned that the woman in the other vehicle had been there earlier. Drove herself. She has a bruise on her stomach and that's it. I feel like my soul has been given a reprieve.

Here's the wreckage. That piece sticking out is the bumper beam, which was completely torn off the frame rail on one side. My Subaru indy wizard/mechanic says it's likely that the passenger side frame rail contacted the front corner of the engine, stopping the camshafts on that side and basically bending everything inside into pretzel shapes. 2005, 117K miles; I'm anticipating that they'll total the car.

Damn that sucks. Glad you're ok and that you can walk away from something like that. I'd consider yourself lucky at this point. Hope the arm heals up, maybe just some muscle pulling from impact. As for the car, I'd side with you on that one being a total loss.

Best of luck going forward. Health first, car second.

Remove the JDM Strut Brace, sell it (assuming it's not bent) & threat yourself some good food at a Restaurant.
I'd have a physiotherapist look over your arm / shoulder / neck. Just to make sure

I'm sure she won't stick around the dump too long before someone buys her up for a swap.

Sad to see her go but glad you're OK. I haven't driven my sti in two years and miss her to death.
