My planned build (well into the future)

I've been doing some searching and I'll probably go to IAG to get all/any work done...maybe agile auto. Tuning at EFI Logics? They're far away and i hear great things about Agile and Andrewtech.

So now it looks like my order for power mods will be:
1------------
APv2 (INSTALLED)

2------------
Fuel Pump
Injectors
Tune (+E85)

3------------
20g-xt (incl. DP with EWG dump, uppipe)
EWG
EBCS
Tune

4------------
CBE
Turbo Inlet
Intake
TGV deletes
Phenolic Spacers
Tune

5------------
Bigger TMIC
Killer B Ultimate Oil Pickup

Not trying to be a **** or anything, but you spelled "Suspension" wrong in the title.

I would want someone to tell me, because if I noticed and nobody told me I'd feel like a moron.

Nice Car!

Well I guess i missed posting about installing my Zzyzx coilovers, but suffice it to say that they're awesome! The installation went pretty smoothly, and they're a breeze to work with. I think the spring rates are a bit stiff for a (currently) mostly DD, but i've adjusted. I've got them set to full soft most of the time for comfort, but it still makes them far too bouncy. On the weekends i've been adjusting the rates and honing it in, but during the week i just keep it soft.

A few weekends ago i got around to some long-overdue projects. I ditched the front subframe, and swapped in my JDM front bumper beam. Apparently I had the 05 version, which has an extra support above the beam itself, presumably for the front grill. Anyways, it was a pretty flimsy piece and didnt seem to be structural at all, so i just sawed it off! It's amazing how much lighter the JDM version is. But its very nice that the USDM foam piece still fits on perfectly. I really should have taken pictures, but I always forget. Im not a big photographer. With those two mods i shaved a bunch of weight of the very front of the car, which is quite nice. I hope to keep shedding weight on this car, but I think a lot of the biggies are done already.

In other news, Im still waiting on the MadDad 3-in-1 gauge, which has made me a little antsy. I like having little projects for the car, so recently i completed my Koni extenders (last post) and then added a 3rd brake light to my car. I dont like the look of it, but i was worried about potential liability in a rear-end collision. But now that those are done, I've been searching the forums for other little things to do. Right now my mini-list is:

1. New Horns (i've heard the Tribeca one works well)
2. Paint my rotor hats so they look nice and don't rust
3. Air pump removal (i'd need to get someone to delete my CEL codes first)
4. DIY swaybar mount "dustboots"
5. DIY Litespeed chassis bridge
6. Pull/stretch seat springs for a better fit
7. Airbox silencer delete
8. Red-out the interior lights. I hear on the 07-style interior it's a bit more of a pain in the butt, though.

I also have a few more maintenance items to complete:
1. Replace both serpentine belts
2. Replace front diff/trans fluid
3. Replace rear diff fluid
4. Brake fluid flush

The gauge is in and the boost portion is working! So i'll take/post some pictures up tonight.

Link 1 was very helpful in figuring everything out. There were slight differences since his was just a boost gauge, and mine's the 3-in-1 but it was a great place to start.

Link 2 was interesting as it gave some alternative locations to run wiring through the firewall, although i ended up with the "behind the intercooler" locations.

Interestingly, i never removed my intercooler to do it. I managed to snake a sharp knife back there and cut it without too much difficulty. Now thats not to say i didnt *try* to remove the intercooler, i just never managed. I dont know if i'm challenged, or it normally takes 2 people (or at least a cold engine!) but I couldnt get the bottom hose to ever come off.

Link 3 Was useful for wiring.

Link 4 was the guide i attempted to use to get behind the intercooler. In detatching some of the hoses from the intercooler (step 4) i noticed some oil or oil residue in there! Yikes! I'll need to see if thats a big issue, and if theres more oil in the intercooler itself when i finally get it off!

So all i have left to do is:
1) Intall the temp sensor. That will involve getting an NPT oil galley plug for the oil temp sender. Removing the intercooler. Acrobatics to get the new plug/sender installed under the IC.
2) Install the EGT probe, Link 5. That will involve removing the manifold, drilling and tapping it. Reinstalling with NEW gaskets.

On another note, I'm pretty sure I hit just over 16 psi today on the way to work. I think i should only be at 14.5 or so! I'll have to monitor more to find out whats going on!

tl;dr The boost portion of the gauge is installed. I found oil in some tubes that shouldn't have oil. I think im getting too much boost.
