If you want to seriously break the current record (i dont know if its downsti or juanmedina anymore), you should add as little weight as possible and take off as much as you can. This is just to ensure that you DO actually beat it and not waste your money.

I say this because it kind of seems like you want some of the bling to go with your street-cred for being one of the fastest stock turbo cars.

a spec-C 12 liter tank is heavier than a little 1 gallon tank (more plastic). Not by much, but weight adds up if you keep adding it.

You want the lightest wheels and brake rotors you can get your hands on, and suspension thats set up in a way that will launch you out of that hole with lots of grip.

Since you're aiming for the stock TURBO record and nothing else, might i suggest the following:
1. drag radials
2. anorexic sti style interior (gutted and reassembled)
3. EWG and cutout on the downpipe as close as you can to the turbo
4. as much weight shaved as you can.

You're trying to break a record. Might as well set one that can be kept for a LONG time.

Spec-C is the best approach in my opinion honestly. Hell, you really want to penny pinch the weight area, use the I/C spray tank in the back of the trunk for your meth.....my buddy is doing that with no problems other than the tank being small for daily use yah know?

Honestly the 1.5 gal trunk mount lasts me several weeks. If you want bigger there are options that cost much less than the spec C tank.

Also the way David (coolingmist) and I set up the tank you can have it less thean 25% full, drive the hell out of it, and it will still only pick up alcohol.

I just like the mounting option for the Spec-C its a nice and clean install, doesn't move around, and doesn't stick in the middle of your trunk or to one side and throw the weight off of your car. Just my .02 cents!

True. I wonder how hard it is to fill the spec c tank. I guess I should look at the install pics. Regardless I think my trunkmount tank looks pretty sweet. LOL
