Default Prague STi - the Transformation (Engine pulled - warped)

Introduction (Original):

Hey everybody, this journal will be a place for me to keep track of what I do to my car, learn from others, and share ideas. I bought this monster (2006, Aspen White) back in September 2008 with 19K miles on it (not modded, bone stock) from the first owner. My father builds and races American muscle (lives in the US) ... so, I have a racing background of sorts. However, not much experience with cars like the STi so I will be learning a lot about mine, and hopefully, as I learn, I will be teaching others a thing or too as well. I bought this car mainly because it's a 4-season car. I've always been "anti-Rice" per se, but I have always been a fan of Subaru. I think I watched too many Ken Block videos of Rallying in the last few months, and thus, I decided about 2 months ago to go out and buy a STi out of the blue. Now I have one. (I still daily drive a 2000 Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDi)

I'm located in the Czech Republic. Not a whole lot of Subis around here, but I see STis around once in a while. I will attempt to be the king of STis in this area :-)

Updated version:

No longer drive a Skoda, daily driver is H6 2005 Outback. The Impreza has gone from Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 2 on E85, blown motor, and now is being rebuilt. Stay tuned for updates! You can see the list of new parts and setup below.

About Me:

I'm a big joker (as some of you may already know) ... or I try to be. I have posted silly videos (some of you really hate them though!) to take the piss out of the more serious ones here. I will probably keep doing it. I'm a big computer nerd (my profession), like to read books, and to stay in shape I do Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (currently a Blue Belt). Otherwise, normal dude ... I'm mainly here to learn and BS.

AFTER 2 years, THE NEW BUILD IS BACK ON THE STREETS! (March 2013)

I believe it's a '73 Nova. He's stuffed a zz502 crate engine in that bad boy. You can see on his window, he's dialed a 11. flat. He used to race Pro Fuel back in the days, but now just doing Street. Talking about torque ... that thing rips your head off when you start ...

I can imagine. I had a 68 vette with a race-built 502 in it. My whole house would shake when I'd fire that thing up in my garage.

BTW, I have a YAKIMA bike rack, came with the car, and I like it. Fits great, works great.
Gauges - I'm a frugal kinda guy, so I went with prosports (Oil temp & pressure, Boost & AFR so far) and they work great for me (for a fraction of the cost of other brands.) Also, check out glowshiftdirect.com for the A-pillar, they have the best deals by far and I am also very happy with the stuff I got from them (wouldn't buy gauges from them, though, they look kinda crappy.)

Well, plans will be slow at first, until I can get a garage -- my cars are on the fecking street right now (I live in a flat) .... trying to find a house worth buying, but no luck yet -- once I have a garage, I'll probably blow wads of cash on turning it into the fastest, street legal beast I can. For now, just planning mainly cosmetic mods to keep the car somewhat economical for long-week drives.

I will get some Czech ladies in some pics -- could use my girlfriend, but she's too classy -- I need some sluty ones for you guys :P -- may need to turn to the old girlfriends (see if they'll do me a favor :P) ... lol.

Weather has straight sucked in September -- usually, it's somewhat nice, but been like November weather here (close to zero a few times!) ... car seems to like cold air, though. I will take some pics of the beast after I put my new mud flaps on -- I work so much, I haven't even had time to really look at my car -- I just drive it from time-to-time -- a shame, really.
