Here they are fresh out of the box from Rally Armor USA ...

After having them for 3 weeks, I finally made time to install them ... here they are:

(Close up of the front)

(Lighting could have been better, but there you go ...)

(they look real good, and make the car look more aggressive)

The mud flaps are pretty easy to install ... you don't have to take your back tires off, but just jack up the side you're working on -- the wheel will drop as the car goes up, giving you room to do the back flaps quite easily.

My car is double-filthy, as it hasn't been washed in a month - by the time you see these photos, those mud flaps will already be filthy too.

Yeap, VAT (it's called DPH here) is 19%. They hit me with that. Sometimes, they hit me with an additional 10% (Import / CLO) tax, but in this case, the officer didn't do it ... maybe he was in a good mood.

So, not only do Czechs have worse incomes on average, they get super raped on taxes when they order stuff that you cannot find locally. Isn't that a *****. Now you know why Euros don't mod as much. TAX TAX TAX!

God bless America ...

That blows. I was thinking about getting mudflaps, but I also want a body kit (or at least some strakes) at some point, and I'm not sure if the two go well together at all.....I can't say I've ever seen a car with a body kit & mud flaps.

Well, you can always take the mudflaps off ... :-) I think you should get some mud flaps now, and worry about the body kit later ... big price difference (and effort to install) between the two. Besides, Winter is almost here ... new body kit should be saved for the summer :-)

Which kit you looking at, anyway?

Thanks Bro, but she ain't got nothing on your Beast! Yeap, checking out your journal now ... sweet stuff! And thanks for the recommendation! Everybody seems pretty keen on DeFi (despite them being kinda spendy) ... so, we'll see!

Not sure about the kit yet, and my thoughts keep changing, but as of lately, I've been thinking :
Side: WRX side skirts + front and back strakes (need WRX side skirts to mount those),
Front lip: Kaminari (like the plain-ness of it) or Ings (or even CS V1...hell, there's a lot of good looking front skirts out there),
Rear - Not too picky, but as long as it's a skirt that comes down a good length. Not too much into those rear spats, because they leave a lot uncovered and it looks kinda crappy IMHO. I want something like CS V1, I'm thinking.

Are you thinking about a kit at some point?

Damn, that's ambitious :-)

I haven't thought of any kits like that -- I want my ride to remain low-profile. For me, it's simple:

Phase one: Mods mainly for performace, but not exceeding Stock block potential (at max a FMIC).

Phase two: More performace mods exceeding stock potential ... adding things like newer suspension, etc...

Phase three: External mods (no idea yet).

I need to keep it low-profile until I can really get it in a garage, otherwise, ****ers will pick my car apart. Plus, there are no good tuners here, and it'll be hard to find people who can help me do stuff here. I can do some stuff, but replacing Turbos, headers, intakes, etc... that's out of my league unless I have a big shop and a lot of tools. I'm kinda f--ked here.

I'm thinking of opening up a tuning type shop here ... need to kidnap some bad ass tuner from the states and get'em to stay here ;-)
