I've typically installed 75% of my audio equipment, ie hu/speakers and leave the amps/subs for the pros.

Therefore, I'm trying to locate a dash kit / wiring harness for the hu install. Can anyone tell me if they've bought the parts from a local car audio shop or nationwide chain? If they're not avail, did the installer scrap one together from an older model WRX kit?

Any advice would be appreciated.

thx,
J

I got the dash kit and wiring harness for my headunit from Crutchfield.com. I got it free with the purchase of my headunit. Im sure they sell the daskit/wiring harness for a few bucks.

Crutchfield doesn't sell a kit for the STI. They never even touched one. They suggested using a Universal kit, if required. And they sell Scosche (spelling ?) wiring harness.

I'm taking my STI into a local shop for the install on Wed. I'll report back with my results.

Just order the one for the WRX. It is the same. I got mine from Crutchfield and it worked perfect.
