Default I'm stumped at this point...AP problems

Hello,

I just purchased my 07 sti about a month ago and it's been quite a mystery to me. To my knowledge so far it has a turboback exhaust that I had originally thought was cobb but now have no way of identifying it since there's no branding anywhere to be found.

Anywho, the dealership gave me a "buyer's guide" which is basically an overall evaluation of the vehicle and in one of the lines it stated "CUSTOM ECM".

So i ordered an AP from a fellow member on here and upon installing it i realize that the only way to restore it back to factory, or whatever setting you had it at, is to uninstall the AP. I guess where i'm getting it as after I installed the AP and flashed to Stage 2 93 map w/ stock intake i noticed the following:

Stage II 93 ots:
Smooth Acceleration - high boost reels you in
18.5psi in first and second

Tune car came with:

-Stock or whatever tune it came with feels a HELL of a lot beefier and aggressive than the stage 2 ots tune

-Boost builds up much earlier

-Accelerating actually jerks you back

I guess since I can't use an unmarried ap to monitor my performance it's hard to say if there's actually any real world difference between the two. But if the guy that owned the car before me had an AP and uninstalled it then it would obviously be back to the original factory tune. If not, then does that mean he or she did some kind of pro tune?

I guess i'm just kind of frustrated. Bought an AP and doing the flash basically made the car smoother but much slower and less responsive.

I'd like to hear from some users that have ran a TBE with the AP and without to see if i'm not alone that indeed the more aggressive tune i speak of is oem or not.

EDIT:

Also forgot to add that the car came with 3 pro sport gauges. Interestingly enough as soon as I flashed to stage 2 all of a sudden i can't switch the colors on my prosport gauges anymore and the water temp and oil temperature are moving like the boost gauge. Not all of the time but randomly. It never did that before prior to the reflash.
