The image attachment failure isn't associated with membership level. If it was, the site would give a specific notice that the usergroup the member is in doesn't allow attachments or attachments of that size.

This is a PHP memory setting issue. Your team reverted a lot of PHP settings when it acquired the site. This is not something that can be controlled with in the vBulletin admin interface. This is a server setting.

I am having the same issue trying to make a post in member journals. Attachment upload keeps failing. Have tried different file sizes and formats, keeps failing.

Hey guys,

Figured out the issue.

@Travisphan
@ronin4hire
@ajmach2
@defpo

So your accounts were still under the user group "registered users" and "Post-08 Members"

I had to remove "registered user" user group from you guys because that user group did not have the permission to post and attach images there.

You guys should be good to go now this time. If not, please report back here and we'll look into it again.

Sorry for the inconvenience,

Ed

Hey Ed - It's giving me the same error message when trying to post. These images really don't want to be uploaded lol.

Still not working for me either. Dont even have the option to manage attachments at the bottom now. If I try to submit the thread, it says an attachment is required and provides a button to manage attachments, but nothing happens when I click it.

That is weird. I did another test changing my primary usergroup to 'post -08 members' and was able to post an image but getting a 505 error message when attempting to submit my thread in the used cars for sale section.

Can you guys take a screenshot of what you are seeing?

That seems like this issue would've started back then if it was the PHP setting changes is what's causing this - has this being going on since then or these issues just started happening recently?

Those of you experiencing this, were you able to post in the for sale section, attaching images without any issue before? Do you recall when this issue started occurring?

Thanks everybody,
Nate

before I was had the option to manage attachments at the bottom of the thread creation. now there is nothing there.

if I try to submit i get this error at the top but clicking manage attachments does nothing.

Mine is a new account, so i have never tried previously to attach images.

Thanks for working to get this figured out

Hey everyone,

I have bumped the ticket for further investigation.
Did some testing and it still doesn't work.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
