Default turbo suggestions please

Quick question, what is the SMALLEST turbo for 600whp on E85? Rotated setup

Been away from the Subaru game while playing in the LSX world.
Finally getting back to this 08 STI collecting dust and cobwebs in the garage.

Sleeved bottom end with 1/2" ARP head studs. Head porting and valvetrain TBD but plan on seeing 8k rpm frequently, ideally in boost around 4k rpm. 4 bar MAP sensor so boost limits shouldn't be an issue. Most likely going with a sprung 6 puck to hold for drag racing.

600whp goal because I recall that being the point where serious fuel mods become a thing. I'd like to keep stock fuel lines from the tank to firewall without adding swirl pots or additional pumps. Hardwired Walbro 450 in-tank should feed it... I think. Please correct me if any of this isn't right as I'm honestly building around this bottleneck.

I think that you might need a second pump. especially with e85.

fortunately radium makes a aftermarket fuel basket for this model car. in that assembly you can put in dual pumps.

are you also doing lines in the engine bay? I think you may need to do that also.

Lines in the engine bay were done a couple years ago.
Basically what I'm trying to avoid are what I had to do for my race car. Dual 255 pumps in-tank with both hardwired, steel braided PTFE lined -10 feed with -8 return. That setup feeds 8x 1000cc injectors at 50psi base, good to around 900whp naturally aspirated or pulling nitrous fuel from the rail.

I'll look into the radium basket if a single 450 lph won't keep up. At what point do the OEM fuel lines from tank to firewall become a limiting factor?

depends on dyno.

Dynojet? FP blue if you ask some people...just kidding

but in all seriousness, for 600 whp I wouldn't go anything under 70lb a min unless you want to run high boost numbers.

Borg Warner EFR 8374
Garrett 3576 gen 2
Precision 6062

Precision 6062 you say... didn't realize they have a 60mm. That might be the ticket for boost threshold and still pulling to 8k rpm.
Do Precisions hold up for street cars nowadays?

HUGE improvements in the aftermarket turbo world the past few years.

Anecdotally, they dont seem to last very long. I've seen a number that had oil leak past the bearing housing needing a rebuild.

Personally I'd stick with BW or Garrett.

However YMMV

if you want a cheaper BW, you could run a s362 journal bearing.
