Default Re: BlueScooby's 06 STI - Trunk Utility Panel (with pics)

So here is the "utility" panel I made. Its basically a tools holder. The spare tire is already full with jumper cables, oil, and lug wrenches/keys, so I needed somewhere else to keep these.

Items I have attached:
Air Pump (powered by cigarette lighter)
Small Socket Set
Phillips Head Screwdriver
Flat-blade Screwdriver
10mm Extended Socket
12mm Extended Socket

So far it appears, most small repairs should be possible with this small set of tools. These are all duplicate/cheap tools bought specifically to be in the car.

First I removed the rear seat to mock it up with cardboard:

Here is about halfway through attaching the different tools:

The final product awaiting installation:

It's installed!

I used the two bolt holes on the rear seat support bars as the mounting point for the panel.

I also have some more room to expand with a few other tools, should I feel the need.

The fit isn't perfect, but its close enough. Over all I'm very pleased with how this came out. My inner nerd/engineer/needallthetools is very happy

On to the next project!
