Default 2018 sti spacers

I am looking to put spacers on my 2018 sti. I am really looking for a decent poke as im looking at the 30mm.
I am looking at the Ichiba 30mm on subispeed.
ICHIBA 5x114.3 V2 Wheel Spacers (15mm, 20mm) - 2015+ WRX / 2015+ STI - Spacers - Wheels and Accessories - 15+ STI

Thoughts, ideas?
I know up front it will cause turn deduction.

Thanks for the help!

Howdy!

This will probably stir all sorts of responses, but here is my old car guy take;

Many will tell you spacers are dangerous, and should not be used. They claim the wheel bearings will wear out quicker (true, they will), they break (everything breaks in the right situation, and so do these), and they will mess up the scrub radius as well as other important steering/suspension geometry (it def changes it, but whether for the better or worse is a personal thing).

I ran the same 20mm spacers on my 2016 WRX for 30k miles. Mostly in the winter with my hopelessly tiny stock 17's and blizzaks, on Tahoe/Truckee roads which are horrendous. In the summer I ran 18x9.5 +27 Enkei NT03+m's. My wheel bearings were fine. I did notice the handling changed mildly, but not enough in a negative way sway me to remove them. I LOVED the look. In combo with mud flaps, the rally look was nice.

I am sure more will chime in and expound on what I said. THere are a billion topics in the Subaru community on this exact topic. Head to Google and search this out. You will be overwhelmed with the amount of info out there.

Cheers!

Were you spacers hub centric. Did it come with longer studs or use 2 sets of studs?

Serious question, why are you looking to do this?

If its pure aesthetics, I vote get wheels in the size you're looking for. In the end I think you'll be happier. RPF1's are like 10lbs lighter than your MY18 OEM wheel, and while this is subjective, look good on anything with wheels IMO. And I think the 18x9.5 +38 would be very close to what you're looking for.

Ricer mod 100 stay away.

30k miles is tiny.

Pro vs con, hard to argue for pro side.

BlobEyeGuy has the right idea. Functional mods that also look good. Rims that complement the calipers on MY18+ STI's will go a long way.

I could understand running spacers on the stock wheels, maybe if you are buying used rims and don't have a choice in the offset. I agree its way easier just buying the right offset aftermarket wheels.
