On a WRX with top feed injectors, we had to elongate the center bolt holes to get the bolts to line up.that was unexpected and time consuming.

They work exactly as they should! The install takes time to do properly but with the way they are molded they give you more room around the risers. You will ditch the OEM brackets that shroud the fuel rails and as such can move the harness around so that it doesn't have to go over the turbo inlet you you want.

The o-rings are nice and as long as you torque them to the provided specs. all is well.

Just remember that you will have to move the grounding straps that normally bolt to the top of the intake manifold to another location on the motor that is actually connected to the head via metal. In my case (08 STi) I simply moved the passenger side ground to the top of the AVCS.

On the earlier cars they had a grounding strap on each side so you will need to use the AVCS on both sides.

For the $$$ they are an absolute steal!

Exactly my situation. JDM STI that was pre-side feed and already top feed didn't line up properly either.

Could you. I'm thinking just Dremel it with a grinder bit but want to make sure. Also did they use washers so the bolts hold onto the elongated holes?

6lbs torque is what I'm told these require. Can anyone confirm this?

100% 6 lb ft on both the IM to TGV and TGV to head.

That said if you guys are having problem lining up the holes my ? is did you install and torque the TGV's to the heads FIRST? If so then that is the issue...

Here is what I did to fix the issue. I torqued the passenger side to the head, and then hand threaded the passenger side of the IM to the TGV's. On the driver side I only hand threaded the TGV to the head and then hand threaded the IM to the TGV riser. This gave the assembly enough room to line up and be torqued down. Made it very easy...

Thanks. Unfortunately I had the intake manifold off and the MAW TGV connected to it at all 4 corners. The center don't even line up that way. =\

Also instead of bolts I actually had studs at two places on each TGV.

Thanks for the confirmation of torque specs.

looks like the V7 STi manifold is similar to the 04-06 USDM STi Manifold that needs those too holes slotted.

my buddy and I didn't have such good luck with them. With a freshly recalibrated Craftsman torque wrench, I had brass inserts pull out under the target torque setting and we both had at least one of the tgv-to-head bolt holes collapse, also under the target torque.

I sent an email to TiC/MAW about the issues I had. They sent me a new set and I sent my defective set back to them. I'm glad TiC/MAW has great customer service.
