You could probably figure it out on your own in 4 hours.

I agree four is way out of the realm of reality for that install, if they are doing turbo at same time then four hours TOTAL for both maybe.

How long did it take you? I'm also thinking 4 hours for a shop is a little long.

I've spoken to 4 or 5 performance shops in the md/va area and ALL have estimated the install at around 4 to 5 hours. The last one I spoke to has actually done a couple and said this is an expensive install and recommended if doing yourself to really pay attention to the manifold gaskets and make sure that I don't crack any if I just "lift" it to get in place. I was shocked to have so many shops tell me this. Bummer.

Should get some port and polished from grimmspeed. That's what I'm doing (a little down the line), getting the: intake mani, throttle body, tgv delete, and this installed (along with a few other parts).

I was also told by a couple of the shops that you should tune for this part as well and since I'm having another new turbo put in next week and obviously tuning I thought it might be a good time for this as well. Didn't give much thought to removing the manifold before I bought it though lol. Oh well...I'll get it done one way or another as I'm sure it's a solid part and after the pain of the installation I'm sure I'll be glad I have it. Just for the average Joe who might have someone else install this you might want to wait for a time that you need to remove the manifold anyway like your doing above.

Anyone get this to work on 2006 sti. I just spent half the weekend taking everything off then put everything back together. And the amr inlet is still not on. I could not get the manifold to line back up, the powersteering line was in the way. I wish AMR would provided instructions, maybe I was suppose to relocate something. I think I just wasted 240 dollars
