Is the magnetic drain plug aluminum or steel? If aluminum, I would assume that the magnet is inside of the plug somehow?

Also, does it utilize the stock crush washer so it can be replaced when changing the oil?

The magnetic drain plug is alumiinum and there is a magnet to collect all the particles inside the oil and yes it does replace the stock rush washer. sorry It took a while for the reply, I had to ask around.

Thanks for the reply. It is hard to distinguish, but you said it replaces the stock crush washer. I was asking if you can use the OEM crush washer or do you have to use the Kics washer? Maybe the words were just garbbled a bit.

Thanks again.

You would still need to use the OEM stock washer.
