Let us introduce you to the Enkei RPF1, these are available in a 17" and a 18" size for the Subaru’s. Reason why these are so popular is because of their cost vs. weight ratio. A 17x'8 comes in at 15.6 Lbs, that is getting into Volk forged wheel territory. Most Cast wheels in that size will come in around 19-21lbs. When you are looking for a set of wheels for track days, these wheels are a no brainer. I'm looking at the RPF-1 in 18"

What width and offset do you recommend for an 06 STI running 235/40?

Are these a good daily driver wheel?

Also do you know the weight of the Work Emotion CR KAI in 18x8.5?

The Emotion's are 23lbs if I remember correctly.
As far as the RPF-1. A 45 offset should work. As far as daily driving. They are an strong light rim, so they will hold up great. As long as you do not hit any huge pot holes or curbs.
