tires for 18x8.5

I am looking at the ssr competition and they are 18x8.5and I have an 04 sti. Should my tires just be 225's or is wider an option without any modifictaion. thanks for any replies

can you fit 255/35's on the 04? If so, i would do that

depends on the offset your running on your wheels.

I would go as wide as you can fit -- 225 on an 8.5 wheel would look silly.
