Sounds like a pretty precise guy, and I've heard no complaints. I'm betting it's 65% heavier then stock. We'll know for sure when mine arrives
Until then, no worries.
This statement may be incorrect, It seems some people say the 06/07 knobs are heavier? Can anybody confirm this??

I KNOW the 04/05 knob is only 69 grams.
I DONT KNOW the 06/07 knob weight for sure

i dont have exact numbers but i can assure that the 06 sti knob does weigh more. but i prefer the WC knob, it feels so much better.

Same here, I dont have a scale. My 07 knob I would say feels 1/3rd heavier.

Today I completed the following:
wrxridah (2.0" Black Copolymer STi Sphere/Brass) [COMPLETED]
Mycues1982 (2.0" Black Copolymer STi Sphere/Brass) [COMPLETED]
Dino4u (2.0" Black Copolymer STi Sphere/Brass) [COMPLETED]

Tomorrow will be a "Brass" day. I will make the brass inserts for the two WRX knobs for Draklen & EQ Tuning and cut them round if I have time at the end. I sure hope I can get these out for Friday's shipping.
Then I will try to get the remaining 2" white/black spheres out for Monday/Tuesday.

i compared them with the 06 stock knob in one hand and the new one in the other and i can tell you 100% for sure that the WC Lathe werks one is about 1/2-3/4 the weight of the stocker. The stocker is substantially heavier than the WC Lathe werks one. i dont have a scale but u'll have to take my word for it.

my hand isnt very accurate sorry but id have to say its closer to being 1/2 than 3/4. Does that help? i remember seeing a for sale thread for one of your shift knobs and the guy claimed that ur knob was like 105 and the stocker is 200 or so. Im not totally sure and i cant find the thread so........ ya

ok, I wish I could buy lead in rod form because I could make inserts from that...but certain poisoning issues may arise

well the lead piece should not be touched in any way because it sits deep inside the knob, but I still dont know if there are environmental rules against the use of lead for consumers or anything like that.

Hi Ben,
I cannot get this knob made by tomorrow. I have a very busy night and I have to finish the two WRX knobs with brass inserts that were paid for a few weeks ago already.
Your order will be put into the next batch of STi spheres. Expected completion/shipping day would be this coming Monday or Tuesday.
Sorry I can't get it out sooner, but thanks for your order. Ill add you on the list in Post1

maybe paint over the lead to seal it up? ive had some lead bricks at work before and theyd work GREAT for the shift knob
