I have the Perrin meth kit, very nice unit. Had some initial issues with the control board causing a false low flow signal (which triggered a failsafe and cut boost). A few others had the same issue, just to note that my unit was one of the first ones sold, I have been told that this has been resolved.

Richard at Aquamist and Jeff at Perrin have been AWESOME in fixing the issue and now its working great.

I've been using it for 13K miles, on a Cobb "Tuner" Stage 2 block, GT30R, 400 whp. Zero issues, all UOA's nominal.

Details:
Aquamist with boost-cut failsafe (never fired yet)
50-50 H20 and Meth
10 psi injection start point

Have the Perrin kit. One of the first units so had some issues initially with the control board and the overly sensitve low flow indication. Also had a failed flow meter. The board was updated and flow meter replaced. No problems since. Great support from Perrin and Aquamist.

I currently run the SMC kit. I started out with the under the hood kit. Only problems that I had was boil off from high under the hood temps. I then got the JDM Spec tank and had Steve at SMC set the pump up for that. Absolutley flawless since. I have the version 2.0 control box. Been running 100% meth for over a year with no issues at all. If I ever change, it will be to the Hydramist system. Only because I am currently getting tuned with my new Hydra and it will control the Hydramist meth kit.

i have an aquamist 2d. i was spraying (50/50) when my stock block with 35r popped on me while winding out 3rd gear. afaik, the system had no issues and worked normally. did it contribute to my motor letting go? i have no idea, thus, i'm not sure how to answer your poll.

SMC Kit
Ran 100% meth, loved it, made great power, washed out a cylinder wall on a freak inlet rip that only let air out and not in. Ran for 20k and would have gone for more but the going says, race it - break it - fix it better - go faster

New Plan - SMC Kit
10% meth - 90% h2o
Take adavntage of the cooling effects of mostly water while getting a minute amount of octane out of the car.
ARFab secret motor
Lots of tuning.

in my opinion, it sounds like too much power was the cause.

I own an SMC kit. The only problem I ever had with it, was running out of meth and not noticing the flashing warning light.

My motor did blow up, but I did things far worse than running it out of meth...

SMC v2.0
50/50 water meth start 12psi full 22psi

ZERO problems

I don't have a failsafe, but I will very very soon....

meth injection is arguably, one of my favorite mods (next to my fmic)

Coolingmist, cgm STi, starts at 10psi and full flow at 20psi
wrb STi, starts at 5 psi and full flow at 16psi

both use 50/50 mix meth... PDX tuned.
