Help me decide on what W/I Meth system to use.

Hey all,

I have decided to go W/I Meth and need to decide on a kit. I will be having XX Tuning tune the car and they sell and could install a Snow performance kit. I have been reading and there are too many choices out there. I really want some built in safety and of course reliability, but am unsure of what brand to go with.

Any help and / or comments would be appreciated.

Car is 07' STi with Cobb TB, APS TMIC, SPT SR, Protuned at XX 301whp/331wtq...

The aquamist kit, IMO is the cream of the crop. the snow performance, SMC and others all work great.

I have the SMC, and it currently doesn't have a failsafe. Steve is working on it and it is being BETA tested.

IMO, you NEED a failsafe.....it should even be an option.

If you can afford it go with the hydramist. If not then go with what you can afford. Dont go SMC.

Definitely Aquamist as a first choice if money is available. The upcoming Coolingmist looks like it may have been my second choice. I have the Hydramist (Aquamist specifically for the Hydra EMS) and it is a very thorough kit.

Despite it costing more than perrin's (aquamist kit), its cheaper than the perrin's + DDS3 module(which is included).
In addition the pump is more capable than the Perrin kit.

Yeah, I wish I spent an extra 150.00 an got the better kit.

My tuner likes to spend MY money! He insisted on the aquamist because it is the best and will be the best bet in preventing costly failures. The $ savings of a cheaper kit will be lost when your rods are sticking out the block....

I bet any kit can work well with enough setup etc but the extra cost of the aquamist is a drop in the bucket when compared to the total spent on my car.

Aquamist 2D kit is proven and has top notch components. Perrin's kit is also very nice (what I have), basically a rebranded Aquamist kit.

IMO the 2D system is the way to go...

Then you are either a brand whore or you haven't researched the topic quite enough. See the comments above. Why go with a kit that has been rebadged and marked up?? Well at least Richard L. from Aquamist helps pretty much everyone regardless of what brand of WI they buy. The kind of support he gives all the time to everyone makes me appreciate supporting his company even more.
