I like meth. It's much cheaper to use and you can set it to come on at said, 10psi or whatever. Plus, if you have something like the 12 liter spec C tank in the back, it can last you like 3 months. But, the down side of that is you would get as much power with meth as you would with noZ. Perhaps you can do a 120 shot?

Otherwise, noZ will cost you more as you will need to fill up your tank often. Also, you need to hit the button which in my opinion really sux. You can set up meth to come on automatically.

It all depends on how heavy your right foot is.

what do you want:

all the extra power available to you, only a stab of the right foot away.

or.

the same power you have now available to you all the time, and occasionally, a limited number of short power boosts, the press of a button away.

if it was me, i'd go for meth.
then again, i never researched NO2 well enough to know of it's pros/cons on our cars. i'm assuming you did.

I would definately get a meth tune over running no2, but that's just me. IMO the meth injection is safer, but i really dont know enough about either to give a fair judgment..

Kinda of apples and oranges IMO. From my understanding, one puts more oxegen into the mix to make more power so you have to use more fuel. The other lowers the det. threshold so you can make more power with the same or less fuel. I'm not sure why you would want to run NO2 on a turbo car unless it is only going to be used for 1/4 runs and if that's the case there are much more capible cars than the STi. If you're wanting to always have that power then N02 isn't even an option.

no2 has an xtra oxygen molecule thats what gives you that sudden burst of of power/speed . the meth injection lowers air temps and help fight detonation. which in turn will allow more air to be sucked in and therefore for power as well. but meth is alot safer!

Consider denatured alcohol, unless your close to a shop that has methanol. Walmart, Home Depot and several other places all carry alcohol by the gallon. I picked up 40whp using 100% denatured alcohol.

do you guys think that using N2O on a stock engined STI is a good idea?
I've used it in my Xsara for 2 years, but I was about to sell it, and removed it from the car. (now I want to keep the car )
It's a wet set with a laptop controlled computer ( sensing lambda sign, TPS RPM..etc... so full automatic..)

I think 50hp shot is not a big pain.

But as I'll use the nitro for only drags, and on races nitro in the car increase category (and I don't want to race against supercharged Vipers),
I want something different. And the other thing is - big bottle in the trunk...

So that meth. inj. would be good for me. Can anyone explain me how it works, and who makes it?

If I had to choose one, I'd do meth.

But, why not do both?

Meth is like running race gas all the time which is always a good thing.

NOS is more like spraying dynomite into your motor, can be fun but BOOM!

Question: how many people do you know who run NOS all of the time and every day even while commuting or getting groceries (every time they hit throttle/boost) vs people who run meth all the time (like me).

7 gallons of 50/50 water/meth (about $35) has lasted over 2500 miles including 4 track days. How much $ and how long would NOS last if used that much? And, how would the motor like it?

Meth is worth 30-50 whp and I use it every day. NOS can give much more whp but regular daily use will eventually ventilate your engine block in an undesireable manner.

My only gripe about meth is that the system adds weight to your car. BTW, proper safeguards will ensure that your meth system is failsafe in case you run out or have a line blockage etc.

don't turn the meth kit on before you get tuned for it.
