You go faster with METH. Most would agree a 50 50 meth water mixture would be optimal. Please use the search feature. HYDRAMIST is a good solution. www.elementtuning.com SMC, Snow Performance, search is your friend.

basically lowers the intake fuel/air mix, allowing you to advance the timing.... resulting in more power(iirc).

it's methanol, the stuff used in your windshield washer fluid...some uber cold stuff.

throwing it in the mix of air/fuel makes a cooling effect resulting in more power...it's kinda like using really really cold air, which is hard to get into the intake manifold.

meth is your friend.

Meth serves as a dual purpose. Water injection serves one of the two.

The liquid is injected into the engine via the IC pipes. The liquid is in a super, fine mist that evaporates and burns inside the engine during combustion. Both liquids help lower engine temperatures, which allows you to run a more aggressive tune (boost, timing, etc.). Methanol actually improves your octane, thus further allowing you to run a more aggressive tune.

Both of these do nothing unless your car is tuned for them, except save you money on gas (methanol is typically more than gas, so it's actually more expensive).

The only drawback to this mod is many systems don't interact with the ecu, so if any part of it fails, the engine doesn't know. For example, if you run out of liquid, you would be running more boost/timing with regular pump gas, and kablooey!!!, no more engine. Or, a line comes loose, and same thing happens. Other liquids that your car depends on, such as oil, anti-freeze/water, or gas are monitored through your ecu and guages so safety is there.

The only water/meth system I've seen that's completely safe is the new Hydramist. It's basically an Aquamist system that interacts directly with the Hydra Nemesis ECU. It includes a gauge, and the ecu is constantly monitoring the water/meth injection for safety. IMO, it's the only way I'd go as I use my car for daily driving and can't afford to blow up my engine. Not to mention that the Hydra is the best engine management for STI's.

Did I mention I have a Hydra So you can bet your a$$ that I'm getting a Hydramist soon enough.

Here you go hope this helps:

"Methamphetamine (sometimes referred to as methylamphetamine or desoxyephedrine) is a psychostimulant drug used primarily for recreational purposes, but is sometimes prescribed for ADHD and narcolepsy under the brand name Desoxyn. It causes euphoria and excitement by acting directly on the brain's reward mechanisms, thus making it highly addictive. Methamphetamine rapidly enters the brain and causes a cascading release of norepinephrine and dopamine (and to a lesser extent, serotonin). Users may become obsessed or perform repetitive tasks such as cleaning, hand-washing or assembling and disassembling objects.[2] Withdrawal is characterized by increased sleeping and eating, and depression-like symptoms, often accompanied by anxiety and drug-craving."

how does this not describe an average user?! - "Users may become obsessed or perform repetitive tasks such as driving, more driving or even more driving and non-stop driving."

some people tune for h2o/meth injection to get a safety cushion from detonation. some use it more aggressively to extract more power. as when you use higher octane gas, when you cool the charge and slow the burn you can cram more stuff into the same space. the h2o also produces a chemical reaction. http://not2fast.wryday.com/thermo/wa..._chemistry.txt

methanol exchanges heat better than water alone. think race gas for the price of water (or windshield washer fluid, etc)
