Default Meth question

if you don't have it spraying directly into the throttle body, (like fastcb and VSGTS14 have said), you should change it.

the nozzle should be installed on the "cold" side of the intercooler...

you should verify with them, but it should be installed before the throttle body. please call them and post in here with what they told you (for our other cooling mist members).

thanks!

I'm calling around right now. Just called cooling mist they said either way would work, but they had the best results with "after the intercooler" My tuner said he called cooling mist and they told um put it before the intercooler run meth though it... I'm a little pissed right now my tuner is supposed to call me back in a couple of minutes..

Ok here the deal. My tuner IA performance, says that there is hardly any power difference on what side of IC you put spray on. The reason they put it on the hot side of IC is that the spray nozzle cooling mist sends you is on the cheap side and if it were to break or fail it will not get sucked into your engine. This is the explaination they gave me. Makes sence to me, you guys feel the same way or am I gullable?

My Cooling Mist nozzle is not "cheap" is threaded into the IC with 3/8 npt and just looks lie a bolt head. If it "breaks or fails", all the stuff would fall down on the engine, not into the engine.

Of couse the whole thing isnt going to fall in common. But if you have a cooling mist system you know that you can take apart your nozzle, its like 3 pieces. Pretty sure its these parts he was talking about. I know its highly unlikely that this would ever happen but if there is no noticeable gain in power it would make sence to me.

I would be concerned about any puddling in the lower corners of the IC since the airflow is much less in those areas. Also the velocity of the air helps to atomize the mixture but the air velocity drops considerably when it enters the IC due to the huge increase in volume between the turbo outlet pipe and the IC itself. This drop in velocity would lead me to think it's possible for the mixture to partially fall out of suspension. I'm sure someone else has way more knowledge about this stuff than I do but this is what made sense to me. FWIW I have an Aquamist system and the nozzle is on the coldside of the IC right before the TB just like most everyone else.

you still want it in the throttle body, before the intercooler is pointless and useless.

It should always be right at the throttle body as shown in your picture. Just think about how you want the mist to cool the charge. Any other way could be potentially dangerous & would definitely not be optimal.
