Awesome, while you're at it you should have the APS turbo inlet installed too.

What gains does that give me and how much is it?

I believe nhluhr gained 15whp up top with one and had quicker spool. It cost $275, and if a shop is doing the install, go for it. This way youll have zero restriction to the turbo.

I am already spending $4500, so why not. I am sure they stock them. Thanks!

No problem, although if we're going for the absolute most out of the stock turbo, I'd consider these additional small mods.

swap the 65mm cai for the 70mm cai
get one range colder plugs
get a gm boost control solenoid

you may also put on a stiffer wastegate spring like wolfplayer.

then throw meth on top of all this. i'd LOVE to see the results!

What is a gm boost control solenoid and what are its benefits?

the stock boost selenoid is good to 22psi i think, but the gm selenoid should hold boost better...i think.

hopefully someone else chimes in.

OK - went back and forth a few times and this is the end result. In addition to the APS header/up-pipe & heatshield, Helix downpipe, HKS CArnon Ti catback, APS 65mm CAI, and Snow Methanol Kit, I asked about the following:

Warlbo fuel pump - added to project
colder plugs - added to project
Prodrive boost solenoid - added to project
70mm CAI - out of stock and claims there is no benefit on a stock turbo
Turbo inlet tube - claims no benefit on stock turbo, but I think there was a stocking issue there as well.

All in all I am happy with the project. I really hope I am impressed by the results. This is like $5k worth of work! I plan on bringing it to the strip and I am praying that it will run 12.5 (assuming I drive it right).

Just got back from the shop - well worth the money. The hp was a little lower than what I expected: 314.7, but the torque is unreal: 401.3. It pulls like nobody's business! I added it to the dyno database and I will get the graphs up tomorrow. Now it's off to bed.
