Default Meth Usage

I recently completed install of my CoolingMist Stg III stainless meth kit and was wondering about usage. Until I get tuned in August, I am just running water. I am going through a gallon every tank of gas. Is this about right?
Seems a bit much IMO. I have the controller set to come on at 8psi, reach 100% duty @ 21psi and tune knob to around 5. Help?

I have a different system (Aquamist), and I'm injecting a 50/50 mix, but that usage seems really high. Typically, I run through a rear tankfull about every 4 tanks of gas, half that if I'm running it hard. However, my system is set to start injection @ 12 psi so it doesn't spray at all unless I have my foot in it pretty hard.

Why do you have it start at such low boost?

Manufacturer's recommendation and my learning curve. Additionally, I would like additional air charge cooling in the gawdawful Texas heat. I will increase the min boost and check consumption.

Thanks for the help!
