Default anybody's meth pump ever leak?

i have a meth injection installed for about 5 months now. up until 2 weeks
ago it was running fine until i noticed my methanol reservoir seem to empty
quicker than usual. so i fill it up before i went on vacation and when i came
back it was half empty! so i know theres a leak somewhere.

i take it to a shop here and they said it was the rubber seals in the pump not holding the meth. because when they unplugged on of the tube coming from the pump with the car not running but with the key turned on to power the radio/aux power that meth was still dripping slowly. they said it shouldnt do that. they said it was dripping into the throttle body even with the car off.

anybody have this happen to them. i'm running straight meth and they said
it ate through the rubber seals in the pump. so now i have to get a new
pump which sucks. and the shop said that the meth will probably eat through the new pump as well. does any of this sound feasable? just
making sure its not a leak somewhere else.

anybody with meth injection ever have a leak anywhere in their system?
pls share your thoughts/experience. sorry for the long post

Are you running pure meth? *Most* of the meth kits supply a pump that is not designed to work with meth, but with water. Meaning the meth eats thought the rubber seals. What kit do you have?

Yeah mine leaked. I got the SMC kit and it started to leak bad over time. I was using straight meth. I took it up to the guy who builds them though and he just swapped it out with another one for me no questions asked. The new ones he is selling have different seals in them now.

you can probalby swap pumps, but pure meth is NASTY usually they come premixed with a lubricant in it that wont eat up the seals, i plan on using alcohol/water but if i can find a reliable meth mix that wont eat seals then ill shoot for that

It depends of which pump you are using really. Some require lube and some don't. The old SMC kits require a dap of lube in them to keep the seals happy and the new ones require absoluetly none and if used that will cause pump failure as well. Make sure you are using non-lubricated meth b/c that can cause premature pump failure. The old SMC kits were not designed to run any meth at all, only 100% denatured alky so thats maybe why the other pump failed. Check over what type of mixture you are running and call up the manufacturer. Most of them have great customer service and will just swap out the defective unit for a new one if they can't troubleshoot the problem.
