tms - but say you were road racing, 5th gear WOT on the front straight. if the wi for whatever reason cuts (not gradually runs out, but just goes dead) don't you think you are going to have a big problem? there no question you'll be able to feel it, but at that point wouldn't it be too late?

crystal - i personally think thats the best way to run meth, as a safety precaution like that but many people use it as a power adder and has boost and timing levels set way higher.

Yea for daily driving I use it to get a little better gas mileage and a tiny bit more boost and timing. But on the race map I cant say the same

That is when mine failed WOT, Davenow's failed, and when Amazake's failed. WOT on an agressive WI tune. I was able to monitor the DA, when the WI failed in my car the ECU had -9 for a DA. I felt it as soon as it happened, looked down saw the DA and let off the throttle. Davenow took me out for a spirted drive, during that run the case of the pump failed. He didn't notice it until we got back to his house. Motor was fine, we even did a compression test to make sure. Amazake had his pump fail, went WOT a couple of times and noticed something wrong. Compression # came out fine.
One thing though all three of us had Utec's. Davenow and Amazake had thier Utec knock corection set to be very agressive to pulling timing incase of det. I was running a Utec map with ECU in the entire timing map, so the Street tuner reflashed ECU was in total control of timing.

It is too late if you don't notice it and continue to drive under boost with agressive timing and lean AFR's. When the motor goes clank clank. Like I said though if you don't notice that the WI has stopped then you are very numb and not in tune with your car.

I agree...I can audibly hear the meth/water injection taking place. VERY addictive sound, but you can tell.
