IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2004 Trader Rating: (4) | tms - but say you were road racing, 5th gear WOT on the front straight. if the wi for whatever reason cuts (not gradually runs out, but just goes dead) don't you think you are going to have a big problem? there no question you'll be able to feel it, but at that point wouldn't it be too late? crystal - i personally think thats the best way to run meth, as a safety precaution like that but many people use it as a power adder and has boost and timing levels set way higher. One thing though all three of us had Utec's. Davenow and Amazake had thier Utec knock corection set to be very agressive to pulling timing incase of det. I was running a Utec map with ECU in the entire timing map, so the Street tuner reflashed ECU was in total control of timing. TMS | |

| Professional STI Racer | It is too late if you don't notice it and continue to drive under boost with agressive timing and lean AFR's. When the motor goes clank clank. Like I said though if you don't notice that the WI has stopped then you are very numb and not in tune with your car. TMS |
