I'm going 100% meth. I'm not going thru all this to get mediocre results.

the gains from 100% to 50% aren't all that much, the water actual is a nice and advantagous part of the mix...I should be doing a dyno session where I will be comparing c16 50% and 100% on my evo...

Doesn't the water do a better job at vaporizing instantly to cool the intake charge better?

I could look up the specific heats of both, but Im lazy

From what I know yes, which is why it does such a great job supressing knock and such, thats why the combo works so well because it techinically raises octane to 116 and cools better because of the water...

Whatever they don't know won't hurt them!!! To me, its just a normal Washer Fluid Tank with a small tank...if they ask questions, I am just monitoring the pressure of the washer fluid before it hits my window ahhahahaha. 50/50 is a good way to go, safe, cools the intake charge, and steam "cleans" the inside of the engine from carbon build up!!!!! I just can't wait to get my SMC Meth Kit....damn thing is on backorder!

How about straight water injection? I spend a lot of time on the track, which is expensive enough without having to buy methanol. Would the power gains be worth the money to buy a kit?

might i suggest denatured alky. Cheaper than meth, more $$ than water though but it does a good job.

I may consider that option. Methanol could potentially get expensive for me. In a 25 minute session at full throttle it's easy to go through more than a half a tank of gas. Under susustained periods of boost I can't imagine the methanol would last very long.

You can also go with other kits. Coolingmist offers a very nice controller which can be configured with an injection map. I got it from InnovativeTuning; they usually offer one of the best prices.

To me, Aquamist looks like the best quality overall; if you even check out the web site of most other manufacturers, even their explanation of their products is very poor, and smells like marketing game. Well, it's me. Aquamist, instead, explains how their systems work rather scientifically, which makes me feel that I can trust them more.

Since all of them has very close pricing, it would just not make sense to me to wait. But well, it's me again

This isn't correct. Typically, meth can be found for less than $3/gal, whereas denatured is usually found for about $10/gal.

50/50 is a great option vs. straight meth. It's cheaper and the power differences are minimal at best. Plus the 50/50 is A LOT safer to run than straight meth.

Straight water is also a good choice for a cheap alternative to protect against your ECU pulling timing.

Alright, so how much is methanol?

$14 a gallon, $10 a gallon, or $3 a gallon?

For less than $3 a gallon methanol would be worth it to me. I wouldn't be surprised if I'd burn a whole gallon of the stuff in a single session. Adding an extra $50 a day to an already expensive hobby adds up quick. But I can deal with another $12 in expenses per track day.
