IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | I use 50/50 and have been for a year now on a daily driver with no problems, If I switched to 100% and got retuned doug said I might get 5-10 hp more. If you run the distilled water mix and get into an accident then you should be safe. Also your 5 gallons of meth just became 10 gallons of power injecting goodness after mixing! IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 Trader Rating: (29) | Well for monitoring the car, I have a AEM Wideband....I already have the stock boost gauge, but I am switching it to the Defi Imperial Boost gauge...and in the summer, I am getting the Defi EGT gauge, and the rest for monitoring. I am using the Cobb AccessPort as my engine management.....I am going to have 2 tunes when I go....one with Meth, and one without Meth. Anyone have any #'s they can post of their car on Meth, with a stock turbo, or a stock turbo on 50/50? Modify: you had a good point of saying that 5 gallons of Meth became 10 if you went with 50/50. 91TB78: You also had a good point of 100% obviously being more dangerous than 50/50 mix....I def don't mind being Mr. Wizard and mixing the stuff...I am a cautious person, so I don't want to get Meth and then all of a sudden need a new block or something. Seems that I am leaning more towards 50/50. |

| S204 Racer | Based on what I too have heard from my tuner (not Doug), I agree with Modifyd - the addtional power increase from a 50-50 mix to 100% meth is not worth the extra fire risk, much less operating cost. Just my $0.02. |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2002 Trader Rating: (12) | ^^Not too mention pure meth is EXTREMELY corrosive, whereas a 50/50 mix is less so. Keep in mind too, there are several kits on the market that aren't over built and fail easily when running 100% meth...just fyi. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 Trader Rating: (29) | Hmm the more I hear the more I am leaning for the 50/50...I am really concerned of an accident with 100% meth....I will most likely go 50/50!! Oh and I can pick up Meth for 5 gallons for like 50 bucks! |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 Trader Rating: (29) | Well people say that 1 gallon tank of Meth which ever it is...will last 3 full tanks...always depending on how you drive the car. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
