Default Difference between water and meth injection?

Just as the title says, what is the difference?

Here's the really short version--Water isn't combustible. Methanol has an octane rating and combusts...water just cools the charge(since it has a high specific heat) so you can run leaner AFRs without a fear of detonation, methanol injection raises octane(which is a measure of resistance to knock) so you can also run leaner AFRs. Methanol is corrosive so it's best to run a blend of water and methanol. You will see better results with methanol than with water if you're looking for power(per what I've read Aquamist representatives say)...but you should run a combo of the two.
