| STI Driver Feedback Score: 5 reviews | I recently had an Aquamist HFS-5 installed and it has run very well until recently. I drove to the gas station for a fill up and before getting out of the car I turned the car off but left the key in the ignition on the accesory setting (not sure why, probably just got out in a hurry). I filled up the gas tank and when I got back into the car I heard the meth pump workin overtime. I looked at the gauge and the flow level was all the way to the right at full flow. Needless to say during the time I was filling the gas tank the meth had been spraying into the engine as well. I tried starting the car but it only responded with a low thud and then just the noise of the starter. I had the car towed to the shop and they found that cylinder 4 was "filled" with meth. They pulled all the plugs and replaced them as well as doing a compression test with passing results. The oil was then changed and it has been running great ever since. If I'm not mistaken the pump should only prime for a second when the key is turned and not come on at full force pumping meth into the engine. Its programed to "follow the duty cycle of the fuel injectors" and usually comes on above 10lbs of boost. Any ideas on what is wrong? Is the system possibly wired incorrectly? Bad pump? Thanks |

| STI Driver Feedback Score: 5 reviews | New issue.... I have had a new issue come up regarding this system. The display gauge that shows the flow shows that the system is flowing 50% when driving at normal speeds under 0 throttle. Sometimes when the car is shut off and restarted it will clear itself however the issue comes back shortly after that... I have gotten the gauge to display this "fault" and have disconnected the supply tube before the injector and it DOES NOT pump meth... My shop that has installed the kit seems to be working on speaking with the company however its been a slow process. My shop has checked the voltage and it seems to be within the acceptable limits and now is apparently sending some new fittings stating there may possibly be a "air leak" in the system. Any ideas what the problem could be? Suggestions? I'm not sure weather to fault the company who installed it or the kit itself but its beginning to aggravate me... |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2006 | im sure richard will chime in. But it sounds like the company that installed it has not done a good job. the whole spraying when the car isnt running. And im not understanding are you saying its showing spray but if you pull the nozzle its not spraying? Or when you pull the nozzle it drops to 0. If it is showing 50% spray but not spraying. What does the gauge do when you trigger flow. Almost sounds like a bad sender unit. But hard to say. |

The flow sensor will not register any flow signal when it is not spinning except the default 0.5V. Let me know the readings during idling. Have you managed to rewire the system so that the system is can only be turned on at key position #2. |

They already checked the voltage and I think it fell within the acceptable range which is why they said the next step was sending new fittings. | |
