im just order a meth kit for my car and its comin in nex week but wut should be the mixture 50 50 or 100 percent meth. what are the pros and cons of eacH? thanks

There is a little gain over 50/50 to 100. It depends if you want to use the money to run 100% 50/50 gives you double the amount for the price. Plus a lot safer also.

Why would you run 100% in a trunk mount and not 50/50

from my meth sticky:

When using methanol injection, it is advised to mix with distilled water being that under-hood temperatures can turn methanol into steam being that methanol boils at 148.46°F (64.7°C) - this in turn can cause your car to not inject methanol.

i use a 75(meth)/25(distilled) mix

I will add that 50/50 with a big nozzle (M15) just seemed like too much water. 75/25 meth/water was great but 100% was just so much easier in the long run.

i have been running 50/50 for like 3 months and no problem, i havent really considered running anything else since in the aem kit is says not to put more than 50/50 so i have no choice...

Any more water than 75/25 cuts down notably on the results. 100% is still best, but hard on pump seals, and easy to boil. A good trunk mount kit is STRONGLY suggested. 100% if you want easy and best results, 75/25 if you want to make sure your pump seals last forever

I dont understan why a trunk mount would make in defference you are stll boiling the meth in the hose in the engine bay. Just not the tank.

depending on the pressure inside the hose, the boiling point should increase as pressure increases.

this is speculation: in the trunk, the tank may remain cooler than it's boiling point of 148.46°F - if this remains constant (liquid methanol in the trunk reservoir stays cooler than 148.46) then i would say it's plausible that the pressure in the line leading into the engine bay will force the boiling point up for the methanol and keep it in liquid form.

IMO, no speculation is better; mixing the meth with 25% distilled water is the best way to go for a street car.

SO if everything is pressurized on the other side of a High speed valve that standard meth pumps are usually 125-150psi. the boiling point wouldnt change that much. Also that would assume that pump runs for a few seconds after the high speed vavle is closed.

I also use a 75/25 mix just to help stabilize the meth, and decrease its corrossiveness.
