Most race shops recommend running copper plugs because copper will melt before most other metals. That way (in theory) when you run your temps too high, the $2 plug goes instead of a piston or valve.

oohhh thats why your going trough plugs. there cooper. try iridium and then see what happens. also i thought that our motors are sleeved with steel or cast iron because the blocks are aluminum. so i dont see how the meth would eat at the cylinder walls.

how often should we be changing plugs??? im 50/50 meth for a yr now but i run 2 maps and dont always have meth on.... also im using ngk one step colder what should they be gapped to and what should i use to gap them?

gap to the factory specs unless your tuner asks you to.

look under your hood i beleive its about 40 or 45.go to any autoparts store and pick up a spark plug gapper for about a dollar. they ussually have them at the check out counter.

i run 100% denatured alchy for 1.5yrs and the stock ones are fine

So back to the OP...

You are asking us if your car is experiencing rich knock, but you're not posting any logs and you're not telling us what AFR + timing + boost you're going for.

Please give us enough info to intelligently respond to your questions
