Default Car goes into Limp Mode!! Help!!

Hi Guys,

I have a 2004 sti that is stock. I bought if from a guy who had a big turbo on it plus all the supporting mods. I drove it 1000 miles to take it home, and it ran fine, no problem.

I was driving today, normal, spirited driving, nothing crazy, when the car suddenly goes into limp mode, with the CEL and cruise light flashing as well.

I parked and went inside for a while. WHen I got back into drive the CEL was gone, but withing 30sec of driving, it came back on.

Any idea what this could be? the owner had 06 wrx fuel rails and injectors on it, instead of the stock sti. as well, I just had day time running lights installed. could either of these be the culprit? Any help would be appreciated, as I'm pretty stressed about my car having problems now. Thanks.

May have better exposure posting this elsewhere in the Forum. This section does not get all that much exposure.
