| Grassroots STI Racer | I need to do 30k service an I am so damn scared to take my car to the dealer in fear that they will screw with something. What did you pay and what was done? |

| Platinum Member | Plugs are a LONG job and unless they worked on the car all day long, I doubt they put plugs in along with all the other normal 30k service items. |

Check the intake system. Maybe they didn't install the filter correctly. No CEL?

I've never been to a dealer that lets you stand there in the bay and watch. It may be different if you are on really good terms with the service writer or the tech, but generally no. It's not like they start working on your car right away either. At Plano Subaru, the waiting area has large plate glass windows into the service bays so you can see them work, but not up close and personal.

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2006 Trader Rating: (2) | i love the old ''throttle body service/clean'' which has parts and labor even tho it is simply dumping some overpriced juice into your fuel tank. i'd bring it back, ask for a dio, and then you should know what the problem is and how to proceed. if it needs plugs prior to the mileage recomendation to fix it, then that should be warranty. they may cite ''aggressive or extreme use'' but thats normal on an sti. with a stock sti, it shouldnt cost you anything as long as you have met the basic maintenance requirements/items.
