Arrow Subaru Extended Warranty?

My 05' sti has 35,100 miles. I was wondering since in 900 mles I will have no warranty if it is a good idea to get the subaru 80,000 mile/7 year warranty?

I am modded. Stage two Acess port. TXS TBE all catless... about to get all new suspension, sway bars, camber plates...etc

I know the warranty won't cover the modded parts but is there something that the warranty will cover that I should look out for... IE: Turbo, stuff like that?

I read through all the litterature and it seems like the extended warranty DOES cover a lot of items...

Just getting some feedback before I drop $2,000 for a warranty...

-Nigel

These cars are fairly bullet proof, if anything was going to go wrong it would have.

and look at it this way, take off parts are cheap. A vf39 goes for $400, pads are $200 and other stuff is fairly inexpensive, I'd say its not worth it.

With all those mods, what exactly do you expect the warranty to cover? Not worth it.

Don't go for it. They will see those parts and say you voided the warranty. Its not worth the headache. And its not worth the money either.

Nope, not worth it. Keep your 2k, throw it in an interest bearing account and you will come out ahead even if you do have to replace a few things (which I doubt) that would have been covered by a warranty.

when i bought my bugeye rex in early 01 i bought the 6 year warranty pkg. had the car for 5 1/2 years only to get rid of it for my 06 sti. i was stg 2, w/ vf39(2 yrs)...only things i had to replace were a 2 right front hubs and i repainted the front bumper...we all know how crappy subie clearcoat is! i ran the car very hard and nothing went wrong except for the hubs. i'd say that's bulletproof w/ 143k miles. hey...would we spend 34k if we thought something major would go wrong? AWESOME cars!!!

Before your warranty runs out, you might wanna pull off your downpipe and see if you have any cracks on the ol 39.

Like somebody else said, theyre not too expensive, but I would still prefer to see that covered if I were you.
