What kind of "service" are you planning to get that would justify taking off your exhaust system and un-marrying your AP?

No idea really, just for regular scheduled maintenance-- Going in for 7500 mile service next week sometime. I just wondered if they make notes of that kind of stuff and then when you have a problem later bring it up?

Even if you pull the parts off they will be able to tell you worked on the car yourself. Unless you wipe doen the entire engien bay and underside of the car it will be obvious that some parts are cleaner or have not aged as much as others.

I say leave the stuff on.

Is it a good idea to unmarry the accessport before bringing it to the dealer?

I would almost guarantee that they will make a note of it. Have you considered having it serviced at somewhere other than a Subaru dealership, and keeping your receipt to validate the warranty requirements. I don't have any prior experience in taking a "modified" vehicle under warranty to a dealership, but from what I have seen on the forums, it will be difficult for you to have full warranty coverage, if you have a problem down the road.

I think it deferes by dealerships... my local dealer is a corporate office and they said they don't have a problem with accessport, it won't affect warranty..
I asked them about doing the work myself and they said, yeah.. youll still be good on warranty..
