Default service isssue, please help!

ok, so i am due for 30,000 service. the prices i have gotten range from 440 to 650. none of these dealers do the same thing. some replace plugs, some dont. some replace diff fluid, some dont. what exactly are they supposed to do? im confused and irritated that 4 dealers have 4 answers on the procedure.

Recommended Inspection Fuel systems, lines and connections
Inspect Drive belt(s) [Except camshaft]
Inspect Camshaft drive belt
Replace Engine oil
Replace Engine oil filter
Perform Replace engine coolant and inspect cooling system, hoses and connections
Replace Air cleaner element
Inspect Transmission/Differential (Front & Rear) lubricants (Gear oil)
Inspect Automatic transmission fluid
Replace Brake fluid
Inspect Disc brake pads and discs, front and rear axle boots and axle shaft joint portions
Inspect Brake linings and drums
Perform Inspect brake lines and check operation of parking and service brake system
Inspect Clutch operation
Inspect Steering and suspension
Perform Rotate and Inspect Tires

i looked in my service manual, and u got it to the T. i couldnt find it at first. i am going to tell them myself that i do not want the plugs done. it sais in my manual to do it at 60,ooo. thanks for the response. its nice to confirm these things, lol

There is no set rule on what a dealer does for their service, that is why there is a variance in prices. I know my 30k is well below what you are being priced, but that is because all I do is what the Manual states.

Why are they changing plugs at 30k when they aren't due until atleast 60k? Just tell them what you want done. If they won't do it, take your business elsewhere.

two things to make sure they are aware of is your car is a turbo and a MT transmission. That means there is no big transmission service that can be done and your plugs are not due until 60k.

But every dealership is different... for example the subaru dealership I work at has prices that range from $400 to $1040 approx depending on whats all due or being done.
