Holy smokes is this a can of worms. There are a lot of opinions on what tranny and diff fluids to use. I think you can look in the drivetrain forum and find several long threads discussing the merits and flaws of various approaches. I won't comment specifically, except to say there's a lot of reading available on it.

Just follow the recommended 30,000 mile check up list in your owners manual and you should be fine if you want to avoid the can of worms. Though reading through all that stuff will definitely be of value to you.

Hope this helps

30k Should be
Oil and filter change
Tire roatation(balance would be good as it is package at some places)
new air filter
coolant exchange
brake fluid flush
adjust parking brake

That is the main portion of the work, plus alot of other inspections and checks.

the one thing i remember really counting was the coolant flush in case theres ever a warranty overheating issue and making sure you put the sti-specific gear oil in the rear diff.
