Default Rust on seat brackets

Have a 05 STI and I have rust on the seat brakets that hold the front drivers side seat to floor right in front buy the bolt, dose anyone else notice this in thier STI?

Given that you are located in Michigan, I would guess that it is from all the conditions that your car sees. I would just take some WD-40 and steel wool, and work on the rust until it comes off.

Default Rust on seat brackets

My 07 ltd. has minor rust on the seat brackets (drivers seat). I bought it Jan 20th and it came that way. Haven't given it much thought but I guess the WD40 and some steelwool would do the trick; thanks.

Thanks to all the replies, ya I figured it was the salt and such but they are totaly orange never had this happen with any other cars .
