Default Gahhhhhh! Frustrated like WOAH

So i just got off the phone with my local dealership. Their service techy is a firm believer that swaybars indeed cannot flip on their own. That all of us who this has happened to removed the swaybar, and reinstalled it upside down. Which isn't possible unless we first bent the fook out of the end links around the lateral link. Sweet Jesus, it's not only this that's workin me up. The guy told me "i'm on the forums too. I've seen what you're talking about. I can't compare your subaru to other subarus, in other situations, I can only go off of the damage I saw and what the repair tech saw."

Isn't similar circumstance comparison the basis for argument? Am I going to destroy another set of end links and lateral links so that he can compare my car to my car? I just want to bang my face against a wall. He's seen it! He knows they flip! GAHHHHHH!

The person you talked to is 1) Not on the forums, and/or 2) A world-class retard. Find a new dealership if you can.

+1. Call SOA yourself.

Update:

I went through my dealership (largely upcooperative, won't listen to me, has a carbon copied answer regardless of the question) then through SOA (the tech rep I spoke with said he heard all sides of the story - funny, no one called me - and decided to agree with the dealership and not cover my broken shxt) and then through the regional service rep for VA. Lyn something.

This man carried on a conversation with me. It was not a series of statements meant to represent roadblocks. He asked me what happened. He asked me how i thought it happened. He made some conflicting statements siding with SOA. Then he agreed to fix the damaged goods (the car's, not mine ).

Case closed gentlemen.

I have to say i'm not at all happy with Subaru as a company. This says nothing about the love i have for my car, just their dealings with me. I was mislead, ignored, and told my opinion (regardless of background education) was unimportant.

My 3.5 cents.

Default Re: End link broke, sway bar flipped, denied warranty

stock end links bend, stock sways can flip.. all without any mods to the car, simply by jacking the car up on one side..

happened to me.
